Step 2: Attend the Fair Successfully
On the day of your visit, arrive early (the fair opens at 9:00 AM) to avoid long lines. Show your electronic badge and passport at the entrance to get a physical visitor card (free for registered buyers).
The Canton Fair Complex is huge, with 3 main exhibition areas (Area A, B, C) and hundreds of booths. Before you go, check the official fair catalog online to list the suppliers or products you want to see. This will save you time—you don’t want to walk aimlessly!
When talking to suppliers, be clear about your needs: product details, order quantity, price, and delivery time. Bring a notebook or tablet to take notes and exchange contact information (WeChat is widely used in China, so download it if you can). If you want to see product samples, ask the supplier—many have samples on site.
Finally, take care of yourself. The fair is large, so wear comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle and snacks (there are food areas, but they can be busy). After the fair, you can explore Guangzhou—try local food like dim sum or visit the Canton Tower to relax.
Attending the Canton Fair is a great opportunity for your business. With good preparation, you’ll have a successful and enjoyable trip!
